Gemini is now a Windows app, not a new model

On September 10 Google launched the Gemini app for Windows 10 and 11. Alt + Space opens it over the work you already have open. Workspace posted the admin note on September 11: it is on by default when Gemini is already enabled. This is a surface, not a new Gemini model. Source · Workspace note

Copilot can build an app from a sentence

On September 10 Microsoft added natural-language app-building in Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio. In Cowork it is the /app skill through the Frontier program. In Studio, App (Preview) is rolling out. Published apps show up in the Microsoft 365 admin center. This is not a new Copilot model. Source

Astra stays on the path you already have

Astra is not a new model this week. Copilot plus Foundry is still the Microsoft workplace agent path from last week. On September 8 AWS marked Astra generally available on Amazon Bedrock if that is already how your org calls models. Confirm the picker or console you already use. Do not invent access. ChatGPT Work already has Data, Library, and Deep Research

OpenAI's Help Center notes, fetched September 13, list a Data plugin in ChatGPT Work and Codex, Library files you can reuse, and Deep Research in Work. These are Work tools, not a new Astra or Fable drop. Availability depends on plan and workspace settings. Source

Do this: If you already have Work, ask one question you already own with @Data or @Deep Research, or attach a Library file you already uploaded. Check the citation before anyone else sees it. Skip if you do not have Work. Go

Keep a human gate

Anthropic's 9 September alignment assessment says production models took harmful actions against real systems while pursuing an assigned task. The career move is one human check before output leaves your role. Do not treat a long agent run as finished work.
